Indonesia move a risk for Singapore duo

Singapore captain Shahril Ishak and defender Baihakki Khaizan are expected to join Medan Chiefs in the breakaway Indonesian league next week despite the prospect of sanctions from their football association.


The Indonesian Premier League is an independent professional league launched last month without recognition from world governing body FIFA or the Football Association of Indonesia, which has banned LPI players from representing the national team.

Ishak (pictured) and Khaizan resigned from their PSSI-supported Indonesia Super League team Persib Bandung on Monday but because their prospective new LPI side is not recognised by the Singapore Football Association their international careers might be on hold.

"As required by FIFA statutes and regulations, the FAS only recognises leagues that are officially sanctioned by the respective member associations of FIFA," FAS official Isaac Christian told Reuters.

"In this instance, the FAS will be writing to the PSSI to seek further information about this new league.

"We will also seek input from FIFA before any decision is taken."

The 19-team LPI, which includes three sides who switched from the ISL, is the brainchild of oil tycoon Arifin Panigoro.

It is aimed at improving the level of the game in the country ranked 129th by FIFA and is backed by the country's sports minister.

The Singapore duo are expected to become the latest names to join the league which has been on a high-profile recruitment drive following the capture of former England international Lee Hendrie last month.

"We will be very glad if they come," LPI official Abi Hasantoso told Reuters.

"They are good players with high-skill football and determination and are key players for the Singapore national team.

"We hope they can improve their new team to compete with other LPI teams. They are big names. Indonesian football lovers know them very well. It sounds great for LPI and Indonesia football." (reuters)

ISL Vs LPI, Demi Siapa?

ARENAKU.COM – Kisruh PSSI dan Liga Primer Indonesia (LPI) makin menjadi dengan makin dekatnya kompetisi tandingan tersebut akan dimulai.
Tiga klub yang sebelumnya berlaga di Liga Super Indonesia (ISL), PSM Makassar, Persibo Bojonegoro dan Persema Malang mengundurkan diri dan beralih mengikuti kompetisi LPI, alhasil ketiga klub tersebut dihukum turun divisi ke divisi I oleh PSSI.
Selain hukuman yang ditujukan oleh klub yang dianggap membelot, semua unsur yang terlibat LPI dianggap ilegal oleh PSSI dan haram hukumnya pemain yang berlaga di LPI masuk timnas Indonesia.






Hal ini tentu memunculkan banyak komentar yang tidak setuju dengan apa yang akan dilakukan PSSI tersebut, kalau sampai tetap terjadi imbasnya adalah idola timnas Indonesia pada ajang Piala AFF yang lalu Irfan Bachdim bakal dicoret dari timnas.
Irfan bersama empat pemain timnas senior lainnya akan dimasukkan dalam timnas U-23 yang dipersiapkan guna berlaga di ajang SEA Games 2011 dan Pra Olimpiade 2012 begitu juga dengan pemain naturalisasi Kim Kurniawan diproyeksikan masuk ke timnas U-23.
Atas kehendak arogan PSSI itu, Menpora Andi Mallarangen sampai harus menghimbau agar PSSI tidak diskriminatif karena semua pemain terbaik berhak masuk timnas Indonesia, selain itu banyak sura dari masyarakat yang menginginkan agar pemain tidak terimbas atas konflik tersebut.
Kekisruhan antara PSSI dan LPI juga menjadi bahan obrolan di dunia maya, baik di jejaring sosial maupun di microblogging, ada yang menarik dari obrolan tersebut dimana ada salah satu anggota sebuah forum yang mengatakan bahwa kalau sampai Irfan gagal masuk timnas para pecinta sepakbola nasional akan enggan datang ke stadion guna mendukung timnas seperti halnya Piala AFF yang lalu, bukan karena semata-mata Irfan yang telah menjadi idola dicoret melainkan buah dari sikap PSSI yang dianggap arogan.
Bisa jadi apa yang diobrolkan di dunia maya merupakan apa yang dirasakan oleh sebagian besar pecinta sepakbola Indonesia yang belum lama kembali merasakan rasa bangga akan timnas dengan semangat “Garuda di Dadaku” mendadak kecewa dan kembali enggan datang ke stadion guna mendukung timnas Indonesia.
PSSI vs IPL atau ISL vs IPL demi siapa ? demi sepakbola nasional? atau demi kepentingan politik segelintir individu yang menggunakan sepakbola untuk kepentingan mereka sendiri?!

The next step is to reform the organization of football, to develop sports science institute, and develop young talent through a tiered competition.”

Liga Primer Indonesia (LPI) System :

Liga Primer Indonesia (LPI) is also triggered to stop the club habit of using the Regional Budget (APBD).

So far, the club relies heavily on budget (APBD), which is public money. If The club is unable for running budget, they can not do anything like that experienced Persitara Jakarta recently.

“Liga Primer Indonesia is able to save state funds amounting to Rp 600 billion each year,” said Chairman of Persebaya Saleh Ismail Mukadar who were present.

To free the club from the budget, organizers LPI helps start-up capital which the amount varies for each club, depending on individual needs.

Organizer of LPI will audit the club’s finances in periodicals by the public auditor to ensure the capital is not distorted by the club manager,

Sidoarjo – Deltras Sidoarjo menuai nilai maksimal setelah mengalahkan tamunya Persela Lamongan 2-0 pada lanjutan kompetisi Djarum Indonesia Super League (DISL) 2010/2011 di Stadion Gelora Delta Sidoarjo, Sabtu (29/1). Dua gol kemenangan Deltras dicetak legiun asing Marcio Souza (13) dan Christiano Lopez (58 pen).

Hasil ini membawa Deltras berada di peringkat keenam klasemen sementara dengan nilai 16, sementara Persela di urutan ke-10 dengan nilai 13.

Pertandingan baru berjalan sekitar 13 menit, Deltras berhasil menjebol gawang Persela melalui gol Marcio Souza. Gol itu berawal dari umpan lambung Sutikno di rusuk sebelah kanan pertahanan Persela. Souza dengan cermat berhasil meneruskan bola tersebut tanpa mampu dihalau kiper Persela, I Komang Putra Adnyana.

Gol kedua Deltras lahir dari titik penalti. Berawal dari aksi individu Cristiano Lopes yang diganjal keras di kotak penalti oleh Taufik Kasrun, membuat wasit Iis Isya Permana, langsung menunjuk titik putih meski sempat menuai protes dari pemain tim tamu. Lopes yang mengeksekusi sendiri hadiah tersebut, tak menyia-nyiakan kesempatan dengan melesakkan bola secara mulus ke pojok gawang yang dikawal I Komang Putra.

Pada laga ini wasit mengeluarkan tiga kartu kuning untuk Park Chan Young, Christiano Lopes (Deltras), dan I Gede Sukadana (Persela). Sementara striker Deltras, yang juga mantan penggedor Persela, Marcio Souza terpilih menjadi man of the match.

 Irving, Texas - Growing up in Elyria, Ohio in the 50's and 60's made LSU Coach Les Miles quite a Cleveland Browns fan, and therefore, a Jim Brown fan.
Miles made his adoration public at the Thursday Big Play luncheon associated with the AT&T Cotton Bowl in which LSU will play Texas A&M Friday. Brown, the Cleveland Brows legendary running back whose Syracuse team lost to TCU in the 1957 Cotton Bowl, will execute the pre-game coin flip Friday.
Brown was in the audience at the luncheon. Speaking from the podium, Miles recalled being allowed on the field after a Browns game and encountering Brown.
"I got a chance to touch you," he said. "Do you remember?"
When Brown nodded in acknowledgement, Miles said, "I knew you did."
