Jakarta - Uruguay sudah dipastikan tidak akan diperkuat Diego Forlan dalam ujicoba melawan Indonesia. Untuk itu, pelatih Celestes Oscar Tabarez siap untuk memasang duet striker alternatif.
Duet striker alternatif yang akan diandalkan Tabarez adalah penyerang Napoli Edinson Cavani dengan striker Ajax Amsterdam, Luis Suarez.
"Saya akan mainkan beberapa pemain inti yang bermain di Piala Dunia kemarin, dengan duet Cavani dan Suarez di lini depan," ungkap Tabarez saat ditanya oleh wartawan di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Kamis (7/10/2010).
Dalam lawatannya ke Jakarta, Tabarez membawa 18 orang pemain, dengan 16 pemain di antaranya adalah para punggawa tim Amerika Latin itu di Piala Dunia 2010 di mana mereka sukses menapaki semifinal.
Menghadapi Indonesia di SU GBK, Jumat (8/10/2010), Tabarez berjanji untuk menggelar permainan seperti yang ia dan timnya perlihatkan di Piala Dunia tiga bulan lalu.
"Besok, Uruguay akan bermain terbuka, seperti permainan di Piala Dunia," cetus eks arsitek klub elit Italia, AC Milan, itu.
Tabarez juga tidak gentar bila harus berhadapan dengan permainan keras yang akan disajikan Indonesia.
"Tidak, kami tidak takut dengan permainan keras Indonesia karena kan ada wasit yang mengawasi pertandingan. Saya harap para pemain bisa bekerja sama dengan baik dengan wasit," harap Tabarez.
Tabarez mengaku tidak keberatan menghadapi Indonesia meski dari segi peringkat, kedua negara terpisah 124 tangga (Uruguay peringkat ke-7, Indonesia 131). Lagipula, Uruguay jarang berjumpa tim asal Asia.
"Kami sudah tidak mementingkan peringkat, tapi kami pasti ingin menang karena pertandingan ini berguna untuk melihat seberapa kuat kami ke depan sebagai persiapan kualifikasi Piala Dunia 2014," kata Tabarez.
"Ini pengalaman berharga karena Uruguay jarang mendapat lawan di Asia," tuntasnya.
